PLEASE NOTE : Due to newly imposed laws and importation problems, Amboyna Burl has become EXTREMELY RARE and very difficult to obtain, especially in the quality I use. The market price of this wood has increased over 1000% in the past few months. I'm not saying that I won't continue to use or carry this species, but rods and components using high quality Amboyna will be subject to the same increase I have to pay to obtain the wood. To give you an idea of how hard it is to obtain.....I am very lucky if I find one piece once or twice per year that makes the cut in my grading standards. I continue to carry over 200 species of amazing wood, many of which are very similar to Amboyna, so by all means, give me a call. I only carry very high quality wood, so anything I have is beautiful.

Custom Fitted Wooden Rod Forms add $150.00 per rod (with rod order) Yes, that's right! These are the same type of wooden forms commonly used a century ago...only better! We are the only rod maker that offers custom forms specifically fitted to YOUR fly rod. Our forms are hand made in our shop and are significantly higher in quality than the forms of the past. Our forms feature custom inletting to perfectly "nest" each rod section and are flocked in black velvet, not the old material that always tended to tear and come off. They also feature heavy antiqued engraved silver end caps and rod ties for secure fastening. Using these forms is one of the best ways we have found to protect your investment as it is nearly impossible to break a section once secured in the form. It's also a great way of preventing tip sets during storage.
Leather Rod and Reel Cases (starting at $450 with rod order) Handmade all leather combination rod/reel case. Made from walnut colored premium quality USA tanned bridal leather, hand sewn with heavy nylon thread, and solid brass hardware. Rod case is 2 1/4" inside diameter and the shoulder strap shortens to double as a hand carry strap. The reel case is approximately 4" x 4" x 2" and has a heavy brass zipper closure, sheepskin lining, and straps to the rod case. This finely crafted case will complement the finest custom fly rod for many years to come. Custom Lengths are available.
Deluxe Leather Shotgun Style Leather Rod Case Prices starting at $795 (depending on length)
Holds rod and reel together so that the reel doesn't have to be removed from the rod for storage! Made from long lasting high quality USA tanned bridal leather in a walnut color. This fine luggage quality case is the ultimate complement to your fine fly rod. Case features solid brass hardware. Rod case is 2" inside diameter. The reel case area is approximately 7" deep and is padded with neoprene for protection. Custom Lengths are available.
